really surprised you guys with a hard-on for everything SEC aren't already talking about this...

Slive speaks on expansion; where will Tebow go in draft? | Mr. College Football

looks like the SEC would be open to expansion as well...so who do they get?

    Re: SEC expansion

I heard them talking about it a little on Rivals Radio the other morning. Just caught the tail end of it and they were talking about FSU making that jump mainly.

    Re: SEC expansion

Thursday they were talking about all conferences going to 16. Bill King was saying that there'd be a good chance Texas and A&M would go to the SEC. He said the two were attached politically at the hip and one would never be in a conference without the other.

    Re: SEC expansion

id rather have a hard on for a good football conference than a terrible one.

but this only happens if the Big 10 expands. I hope it does not happen, I like the SEC the way it is, it would hurt some of the rivalries.

The teams I could see the SEC going after are FSU mainly, Texas, maybe TA&M, but if I had to pick one team that I would almost guarantee would come if the SEC expands is Clemson.

****it Lung was a lil bit faster.

If the SEC expands by two teams, if Texas would come, the SEC would welcome them with open arms. If UT comes, AnM comes. If UT doesnt come, I could see Clemson and FSU

    Re: SEC expansion

Texas won't leave the Big 12...the Big 12 does not distribute their revenue equally like most conferences, so right now they are raking in the money with their successes in football, basketball and baseball...unless the Big 12 implodes (which I don't see it doing) Texas will remain where their bread is buttered, and like Lung said...with A&M, they're attached at the hip

WVU better hope the SEC comes calling...the Big East is going to be in shambles...their academic profile fits the SEC, however

    Re: SEC expansion

I really doubt the SEC goes to WVU to expand. WVU is more likely ACC bound if the Big 10 expands and the Big East disintegrates.

Like I said, if the SEC is looking for two schools, I would bet Clemson and FSU come into the fold, maybe GT instead of FSU or Miami instead of Clemson.

Clemson has been talked about before, and would get more revenue in the SEC.

Here is my guess if this was to happen:
    ACC:
    +WVU and UConn
    -GT and Clemson
    Big 10:
+ Nebraska, Missouri, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse. Maybe ND if they finally get over themselves and leave Rutgers behind.
    Big XII:
    +TCU and SMU
    -Nebraska and Missouri
    SEC:
    +GT and Clemson
    Pac-10:
    +Boise State and Utah
